On December 21, 2023, Academician expert Workstation service regional innovation development and the 12th 2023 Innovation training of Innovation College of Dabei Nong Shennong University was successfully held in Dabei Nong Phoenix International Innovation Park. The conference was guided by Beijing Science and Technology Association, co-sponsored by Innovation Service Center of Beijing Science and Technology Association, Beijing Haidian District Science and Technology Association and Dabeinong Group, and hosted by Dabeinong Branch School of Beijing Science and Technology Association and Innovation College of Dabeinong Shennong University.

Before the meeting, Wang Danyu, vice president of Dabeinong Group and president of R&D Service platform, explained the significance of a series of innovative development activities in service areas supported by the Innovation Service Center of Beijing Science and Technology Association.

In the keynote presentation session, Qian Qian, academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and deputy director of Yazhou Bay National Laboratory, delivered a report on the biological breeding Strategy of crops and the role of the Southern Silicon Valley. Starting from the concept of biological breeding, Academician Qian introduced the development trend and challenge of biological breeding technology in detail, shared the successful experience of super rice molecular design breeding model and southern crop phenotype platform, and pointed out that germplasm innovation and technological breakthrough are the two magic weapons for breeding new varieties, pointing out the direction for seed industry research and development.

Dr. Ren Zelin, Chairman of Beijing Enhalor Biotechnology Co., LTD., delivered a report on the Transformation and Development of Biotechnology Enabling Enterprises. Chairman Ren shared practical experience in product selection strategy, market-oriented new product research and development, synthetic biology and new feed raw material additives, new technology and new product development paths, and university-industry-research cooperation.

The participants fully discussed and exchanged views on the new trends, new directions, new tracks and new breakthroughs in the integration of biotechnology, biological breeding and feed raw materials. This event has broadened the participants' vision of cutting-edge technology, and is of great significance for promoting the deep integration of industry, university, research and application and serving regional innovation and development.
